(Full-Time) Reporting to the Program Director, the Quality Assurance Specialist oversees the functions of quality assurance, quality improvement and utilization management in a Residential and Mental Health Services Program. Responsibilities include the monitoring of clinical services to assure minimum quality assurance and continuous quality improvement; the supervision and tracking of the delivery of evidence based programs at assigned facility.



  • Must be a licensed Mental Health practitioner (LMFT, LCSW) and maintain appropriate training to maintain licensure

  • Must have training/certification in EBPs; MAP, Seeking Safety, TF-CBT, ART


  • Four (4) years professional level experience in a medical or mental health setting or equivalent experience and abilities

  • Must be able to supervise students, registered AFMTs and ACSWs.


  • Must have knowledge of clinical documentation standards

  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft word and excel

  • Exceptional analytical skills

  • Exceptional Customer Service skills

  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the concepts of providing outstanding customer care.

  • Ability to work independently on complex assignments

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to make decisions independently and effective communication when dealing with clients, families, other staff members, department heads, visitors, external agencies and community members

  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with appropriate documentation skills to complete reports, utilize data and communicate ideas constructively.

  • Must maintain a valid CA Drivers’ License, have proof of automobile insurance and maintain a safe driving record based on Phoenix House policy.
