(Part-Time) Reporting to the Outpatient Manager, the Patient Access Specialist oversees and assists with patient and family access to care at Phoenix House in regards to the customer service, financial, administrative, and other related areas and responsibilities. Responsibilities include; Maintaining and providing a high level of customer service to patients, families, referral sources and all related parties. Willingness to answer inbound phone calls as needed to ensure the treatment process is organized and prompt. Greeting families and assist all visitors with check in, questions, and intake paperwork/process. Assisting in scheduling making adjustments to best meet the needs of the patients and program needs. Assisting clinical staff with assessment responsibilities when and where appropriate/necessary. Working with families to review financial needs, eligibility, as well as collecting payments, setting up payment plans/loans, reviewing benefits, financial screening, and answering all financial questions.
- Variable – Daytime, Evening, and Weekends
- LPC, LCSW, LPC-Intern, LMSW, LCDC, LMFT or other professional counseling license is preferred.
Experience with Electronic health Care records preferred
Background in finance, accounts payable, billing, or other related field is preferred
Proficiency in MS Office products and experience utilizing web-based programs
Excellent organization and time management skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment
Ability to establish and consistently enforce appropriate boundaries with clients
Ability to model positive behavior.
Must maintain a valid TX Drivers’ License, have proof of automobile insurance and maintain a safe driving record based on Phoenix House policy.
