The administrative assistant is an integral part of the outpatient clinic team as the primary point of contact for patient scheduling and services and operational management of the clinic.
The administrative assistant is the initial point of contact for patients both on the phone and in office.
The candidate will appropriately triage calls, schedule appointments and provide information about the program’s services.
The candidate will coordinate patient payment methods with our benefits department and patient benefit providers.
The candidate will assist the program staff in managing compliance with regulatory operational requirements.
The administrative assistant coordinates the completion of weekly billing requirements with program staff and the billing department for claims generation.

Tu, W, Th - 11a-730p
Experience in customer service/receptionist positions in an office setting required
- Prior experience working with Chemical Dependency patients and/or experience working in an healthcare outpatient clinic setting preferred.
Experience working in and adhering to OASAS licensed 822 program regulations is a plus.
High School Diploma required
College degree or coursework in business administration or related field preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Administrative support is primarily provided through the use of electronic devices (e.g. computer, phone, commercial printer/copier/fax and candidates should be extremely comfortable using such devices.
Candidates will have good written and verbal communication skills to relay a customer-service oriented approach in all duties.
Candidates should be able to perform well in a fast-paced behavioral health setting that requires multi-tasking and organizational skills.
Candidates will have a desire to support the program’s financial sustainability by ethically exploring revenue generating opportunities. The administrative assistant provides critical support to the maintenance of clinical operations.
