Phoenix House Tapestry, Brattleboro, Vermont: Recovery Support Specialist

Tapestry is a residential program offering substance use disorder treatment through a variety of individual and group activities for adult women who are under the supervision of the Vermont Department of Corrections. The program provides a structured environment and offers activities designed to address a range of physical, psychological, and social/environmental areas of concern. The program supports a variety of staff positions, including Recovery Support Specialists, in order to provide client treatment services and care on a 24/7 basis.

Responsibilities include:

Assist the Clinical and Administrative team

Perform security and maintenance tasks

Monitor the residential milieu and coordinate activities

Conduct toxicology screens

Participate in group, educational, and recreational activities

Use Phoenix House systems, including the Electronic Health Record, to document notes and activities

Possess a valid driver’s license and demonstrate the ability to safely operate a Phoenix House vehicle in order to transport patients to appointments

Demonstrate empathy and respect for patients, co-workers, and others in all interactions

Ensure patient confidentiality in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations


High School Diploma/GED or Associate Degree Phoenix House offers benefits, including a tuition reimbursement program, for full-time employees.

Recovery Support Specialist positions include first, second, and/or third shifts; holiday shifts may be required. Opportunities are currently available for full-time, part-time, and per diem positions; please indicate your preference when applying.
