Phoenix Houses of New England is under contract with the VT Department of Corrections to facilitate curriculum delivery at probation and parole sites throughout the Northeast Region of Vermont.
We are currently seeking a part-time, 20 hour, Risk Reduction Interventionist position at our Barre location to deliver services to groups of moderate to high risk offenders. The goal of this position is to use specific curricula designed to address anti-social thinking and behaviors in order to reduce the risk of recidivism upon re-entry into the community. This position also offers a Per-Diem Risk Reduction Interventionist opportunity for our NorthWest regional programs in Burlington, South Burlington, and St Albans.
•High School Degree Required, some college preferred
•Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record; ability to produce proof of insurance upon hire.
•Work performed in an educational, training or human service setting, highly desired.
•Experience in curriculum delivery, highly desired.
•Experience working within the criminal justice system, highly desired.
•Experience delivering curriculum deliver in group counseling settings, highly desired.
•Communications skills (writing, speaking, hearing, listening)
•Copes effectively in uncomfortable situations
